Recently, Trulia, a U.S. site for buyers and renters to find homes and neighbourhoods, reported that “Nearly five in six Americans (84%) said the neighbourhood would be equally important or more important than the house if they were searching for a new home.”
This is so true.
I have met a lot of people viewing homes and mostly, they are scanning the neighbourhood. I’ve seen many a car drive by The Porches in St. Philips at all hours of the day just sizing up the surroundings, probably asking themselves questions:
- What’s the traffic like?
- Where will the kids play?
- How far is it from schools? recreation facilities? and of course, shopping centers?
It’s no surprise because most of us are looking to better our lives and the place we live in.
Bettering Your Life
Bettering our lives means bettering our family, their new needs and how we live or want to live. Yes, of course we would all have a checklist that would include a garage, larger bedrooms for the kids, a new open concept kitchen or a larger master suite. However, if we are going to make a home move, that neighbourhood is equally as important as the wish list or more. A safe place to live, good schools and for sure, the expectancy of good neighbours are tops.
At The Porches, there are no main thorough fares nor the hum of traffic from busy roads. Oversized building lots offer more space between neighbours and the uniqueness of serene living.
Portugal Cove / St. Philips has much to offer in locations of new subdivisions along with plenty of existing homes for sale. Remember, it’s a buyer’s market! Currently, there are 110 residential homes for sale in this St. John’s bedroom community. Don’t see what you are expecting in a home?
The Porches offers custom built homes, at no extra cost, by master builders and they will also share their expertise in helping design what YOU want…not the builder! Imagine, looking out your new front door at the street scape…well-spaced homes, trees on every front lawn, sidewalks trimmed in pottery-coloured curbing, setting your new neighbourhood on a unique level of its own. It’s true: ‘Location, Location, Location’ is still what matters most.
Till next time…
